Gabriel Falzone

Gabriel is currently a PhD candidate in Materials Engineering at UCLA. As a member of the Laboratory for the Chemistry of Construction Materials (LC2)his research primarily focuses on developing the relationships between material properties, processing, and performance within the cementing carbonate binders, to support scale-up and development of the CO2Concrete process and products. Other research topics include enhancing infrastructural service lifetimes using novel cementitious coatings, improving the energy efficiency of building envelopes using cementitious composites containing phase change materials, and understanding how rheological behavior influences suitability for 3D-printing. Gabriel has authored/co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal publications, and presented at 5 conferences. He received a BS in Materials Engineering at UCLA (2014).
